Pengetahuan Dan Niat Pemberian Asi Eksklusif Pada Ibu Hamil Trimester Iii Di Puskesmas Sidomulyo Rawat Inap Pekanbaru
Breastmilk is the best food for babies, especially for babies aged 0-6 months. The
coverage of exclusive breastfeeding at the Sidomulyo Puskesmas in Pekanbaru in
2017 was 44.40%, while the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding at the Sidomulyo
Inpatient Puskesmas Pekanbaru in 2019 was 50.1%, this is still below the
national target of 100%. The factor of knowledge and information obtained also
affects a mother's intention to provide exclusive breastfeeding. Intention is the will
or desire in someone's heart to do something behavior. Intention is closely related
to motivation, namely the urge that arises in a person consciously to carry out an
action with a specific purpose. This study aims to determine the knowledge and
intentions of exclusive breastfeeding in third trimester pregnant women at
Sidomulyo Puskesmas Hospital Pekanbaru. Retrieval of research data using a
questionnaire sheet to determine the characteristics, knowledge of breastfeeding
and the intention of exclusive breastfeeding. This type of research is descriptive
observational with a sample of 46 third trimester pregnant women. The results of
this study indicate that most (53.1%) have low knowledge about exclusive
breastfeeding, most (57.1%) third trimester pregnant women have the intention of
hesitating to give exclusive breastfeeding.
