Struktur Komunitas Mangrove Di Desa Anak Setatah Kecamatan Rangsang Barat Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti

ABSTRACT
This research was conducted in December 2020, in the
mangrove forest area in the waters of Anak Setatah Village, Rangsang Barat
District, Meranti Islands Regency. This study aims to determine the structure of
the mangrove vegetation community including type, density, relative density,
frequency, relative frequency, basal area, dominance, relative dominance, and
important value index. The method used is a survey method, where observations
are made by line transect method. At each station 3 line transects were made with
each distance, + 50 meters, and at each transect plots were made with each size
of 10 x 10 m² for trees and 5 x 5 m² for saplings and 2 x 2 m² for seedlings. The
results that can be concluded from these studies are the mangrove forest
communities found in Anak Setatah Village, as many as nine species from four
families, namely Rapiculata, R. mucronata, S. alba, A. alba, A. marina, X.
granatum, S. ovata, B. gymnorrhiza, and B. sexamgula. Based on the density, the
dominant type of mangrove tree at station I, namely Rapiculata at stations II,
III and IV is A. alba. The condition of the mangrove forest in Anak Setatah
Village can be categorized as a good mangrove forest area with criteria at
station I being very dense and station II with criteria moderate while at stations
III and IV with rare criteria kriteria.
