Profil Penderita Kanker Paru Stadium Iv Yang Dirawat Inap Di Bagian Paru Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Periode Januari 2018 – Desember 2020
Lung cancer is a malignant disease that attacks the lung that originates from the
lung itself or often referred as a primary lung cancer. Primary lung cancer is a
type of tumor that is malignant and originates from the bronchial epithelium
(bronchogenic carcinoma). Stage IV lung cancer mostly suffered by men and
elderly patients and also metastasized. This study aimed to see the number of
stage IV lung cancer cases, the location of metastazed cancer cells, age, gender
and smoking history of the patient that were hospitalized at the Arifin Achmad
Hospital, Riau Province from January 2018 to December 2020. This research is a
retrospective descriptive study with a cross sectional approach. The research data
were obtained from 184 medical record status. From this study, it was found that
the stage IV lung cancer cases reach the highest amount in 2019 of 71 patients
(38.6%), most of the cases was found in 51-59 years old patient (37.0%), males
(78.8%), with smoking history (64.1 %), and the cases usually found at the other
areas of the body than in the lung cavity (52.2%).
