Keberhasilan Terapi Doxorubicin Intravesika Pada Pasien Kanker Kandung Kemih Superficial Di Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau

Bladder cancer is an abnormal mass from the mucosa of the bladder
(urothelium). The management of bladder cancer is determined by the stage
of the tumor (staging), divided into superficial bladder cancer and advanced
bladder cancer. In superficial bladder cancer, surgery is performed with
transurethral resection of the bladder tumor (TURBT), accompanied by
intravesical chemotherapy. Doxorubicin is an intravesical chemotherapy
drug that can be given to bladder cancer. The purpose of this research is to
know how the success of intravesical doxorubicin therapy in superficial
bladder cancer at Arifin Achmad Hospital, Riau Province. This research is a
retrospective descriptive study by collecting data in the Medical Records
section of Arifin Achmad Hospital, Riau Province. Based on research’s result
obtained ten patients, the results of the study show that the most patients of
them were male by 80%, the most age group were 51-60 years of age by
50%, there was no recurrence or growth of new tumor mass by 90% and the
most side effect was burning pain by 70%.
