ABSTRACT
Organic pots from oil palm tankos fiber are products that have a high selling
value, and are environmentally friendly that can maintain soil moisture (mulch).
To produce organic pots, a hot press pot molding machine is needed which
consists of the main components, namely a hydraulic press machine, pot mould,
heater, temperature control, panel box. The manufacture of pot molds begins with
a metal casting process for the top and bottom molds of the pot according to the
design with a size of 110 mm and a height of 110 mm, making the heating position
on the pot mold by a lathe process, and for making the mold position on the frame
of the hydraulic press machine, as well as the panel box. carried out by the
welding process, the components are then assembled and mounted on a hydraulic
press as the main driver. The process of making organic pots is done by placing
palm bunch fibers between the top and bottom molds of the pot which is then
pressed using a hydraulic press machine. The manufacture of pot molds has been
completed according to the design, organic pot molds can be used and produce
organic pots made from palm oil fiber which are environmentally friendly.
