Pengaruh Variabel Sosial Ekonomi Terhadap Jumlah Pengangguran Provinsi Riau 2010-2020

The problem of unemployment has always been a problem that needs to be
solved in the economy, especially in developing countries like Indonesia. The problem of
unemployment becomes homework for all regions in Indonesia, this is because the high
unemployment rate will certainly encourage other problems, not only economic but also
social. It is known that the development of the number of unemployed in Riau Province
tends to fluctuate. Of course there are many variables that affect the number of
unemployed in Riau Province, but in this study we take social variables (education) and
economic variables (UMR, PDRB).
This study aims to analyze the effect of socio-economic variables on the
number of unemployed Riau Province 2010-2020. This study uses secondary data,
namely the years 2010 - 2020. The method of data analysis is carried out by the multiple
linear regression analysis method.
Based on the results of the study, it is known that Education, Regional
Minimum Wage and Gross Regional Domestic Product have a simultaneous or
simultaneous effect on the number of unemployed in Riau Province. Apart from being
simultaneous, the following can be seen partially, namely Education has a significant
negative effect on the number of unemployed. The Regional Minimum Wage has a
positive effect on the number of unemployed. Meanwhile, the Gross Regional Domestic
Product has a negative effect on the number of unemployed.
