Strategi Pengembangan Usaha Kecil Menengah Di Kabupaten Rokan Hilir (Studi Kasus Usaha Makanan Terasi)
A well-known industry made from fish in Rokan Hilir Regency is shrimp
paste. Terasi is the result of the fermentation process of fish or shrimp which is
processed through a curing process or fermentation, grinding or pounding and
drying which lasts for + 20 days. The research was conducted in Rokan Hilir
Regency, which is one of the regencies with high fishery resources in Riau
Province. The purpose of this study was to determine the strategy of developing
small and medium shrimp paste food in Rokan Hilir Regency. The type of data
used in this study is primary data, namely data by conducting observations and
direct interviews with shrimp paste business owners. The data analysis used is
SWOT analysis. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the analysis of
the internal-external factors of the matrix for shrimp paste in Rokan Hilir
Regency was in cell V, describing that it was in the Preserve and Maintain
Strategy. The Cartesian diagram shows the position of the shrimp paste business
in Rokan Hilir Regency is located in quadrant I which supports an aggressive
strategy. This means that the shrimp paste business in Rokan Hilir Regency has
the strength and opportunity to develop further, because it is located in quadrant
I, which means it has a very profitable situation.
