ABSTRACT
This study aims to determibe whether there an influence of Deposit
Interest Rate and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) on the amount of 12-month time
deposits at Bank Central Asia in Indonesia in 2000-2020. This study uses
secondary data obtained from published financial report data, namely the official
website of Bank Central Asia and the Central Statistics Agency with a time span
of 2000 to 2020. In this study, the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method is used to
determine changes in the value of the dependent variable, namely Total 12-Month
Time Deposit (Y) which is influenced by independent variables, namely Deposit
Interest Rate (X1) and Gross Domestic Product (X2) using multiple linear
regression technique with eviews 10 program.
This study consists of two independent variables (interest rate on deposits
and gross domestic product) and the dependent variable (amount of 12-month
time deposits). The result of the research is that the deposit interest rate and gross
domestic product simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the
number of 12-month time deposits at Bank Central Asia in Indonesia with a
significant level of 5% obtained from the probability value of F Statistics < (0.05),
namely 0.000000 < (0.05). Partially, the deposit interest rate has a negative and
significant effect and gross domestic product has a positive and significant effect
on the amount of 12-month time deposits at Bank Central Asia in Indonesia. The
ability of the two independent variables to explain the dependent variable with an
adjusted R-Square value of 0.965459. This means that the contribution of the
influence of the two independent variables on the dependent variable is 96.16%
while the remaining 3.84% is influenced by other factors outside this study.
