Hubungan Dukungan Suami Yang Didapatkan Ibu Dengan Pemberian Asi Eksklusif

Husband support is an important factor that influences mothers
decision to give exclusive breastfeeding to their baby. The study aimed to
examine the relationship of husband support needed by mothers with exclusive
breastfeeding practice in the Simpang Tiga Health Care working
area. Methods: The design of this study is a descriptive correlation with a crosssectional
study approach. The samples in this study were 89 participants taken
based on the inclusion criteria using the purposive sampling technique. The data
were analyzed by univariate and bivariate analysis by using the Chi-square
test. Result: Univariate analysis obtained that 62.9% of participants give
exclusive breastfeeding and 51.7% of participants get high husband support.
Bivariate analysis using statistical tests showed that there was a significant
relationship between husband's support obtained by mothers with exclusive
breastfeeding with p-value (0.015) < alpha (0.05). Conclusion: The husband's
support needed by mothers has a relationship with exclusive breastfeeding
practice.
