ABSTRACT
The fuel energy crisis that occurred at the end of the 20th century and the
impact of greenhouse gas emissions began to occur . Therefore, various attempts
were made to solve this problem. One way to find a solution is electric cars. One
of the components contained in the car is the frame system. Because the weight of
the student formula electric car has a large enough effect, it will determine the
amount of electrical energy consumption, therefore a strong and lightweight
frame system is needed to hold all the components in the electric car. The
Formula Student electric car frame is a place for installing or placing components
of the steering system, transmission system and others. The Formula Student
electric car frame is made of lightweight ASTM A53 galvanized steel pipe with
high strength and machinability. The manufacture of the electric formula student
car frame goes through several stages including measurement, cutting, and
joining. The connection between the parts of the Formula Student electric car
frame is done by welding. The result of making a Formula Student electric car
frame that is light, strong and in accordance with technical drawings.
