Analisis Energi Dan Exergy Untuk Meningkatkan Efisiensi Siklus Uap Dengan Modifikasi Feed Water Heater Pada Proses Pemanasan Crude Oil Unit Ppp Sei. Karas Pt. Pertamina Ep Asset 1 Lirik Field
ABSTRACT
The exergy analysis method is intended to overcome the limitations of
the first law of thermodynamics in solving energy balance analysis, where the
concept of exergy is based on the first and second laws of thermodynamics.
Exergy analysis can show the location of energy degradation in a process that
can be used to improve the operation or technology of a system. This study aims
to improve the efficiency of the steam cycle by modifying the steam cycle with the
close FWH and open FWH methods. As a result of the calculation, the increase in
cycle efficiency with the open FWH method is 1.01% and the efficiency increase
with the closed FWH method is also 0.49%, where the steam cycle efficiency in
the initial conditions is 36.98%. In exergy analysis, the largest exergy destruction
occurred in the boiler (395.55 kW), followed by heat exchanger (138.75 kW),
separator (60.42 kW), pump (2.45 kW) and the smallest was in feed water (0 kW)
for the initial conditions. Meanwhile, with the open FWH method of exergy
destruction in the boiler (376.41 kW), followed by heat exchanger (138.75 kW),
separator (60.42 kW), pump (2.34 kW) and the smallest in feed water (0.50 kW).
41 kW) and in close FWH conditions exergy annihilation in the boiler (381 kW),
followed by heat exchanger (138.75 kW), separator (60.42 kW), pump (2.33 kW)
and the smallest in feed water (0 ,47 kW).
