Pengaruh Indeks Pembangunan Manusia Dan Tingkat Pengangguran Terbuka Terhadap Tingkat Kemiskinan Provinsi Riau Tahun 2006-2020

The problem of poverty is a universal problem, poverty is related to various
parts of daily life so efforts in solving the problem of poverty are quite
complicated. This study aims to investigate the effects of the influence of human
development index and open unemployment rate on poverty rate in Riau Province.
The data used in this study is data sourced from the Central Statistics
Agency (BPS) of Riau Province. The analysis method used in this study is
quantitative method and using secondary data, this study uses multiple linear
regression analysis tool with the help of EViews 10.0 application and variable
human development index and open unemployment rate.
The results showed that the human development index had a positive and
insignificant effect and the open unemployment rate had a positive and significant
effect on poverty in Riau Province. The most dominant factor influencing the
poverty rate is the variable open unemployment rate. Simultaneously the human
development index and open unemployment rate affect poverty by 60.4% and the
rest by 39.6% are influenced by other variables that are not included in the model
studied.
