Penyisihan Bod, Cod, Tss Dan Analisis Bentuk Partikel Pada Palm Oil Mill Effluent Berdasarkan Variasi Waktu Tinggal Dan Kedalaman Pada Proses Sedimentasi
ABSTRACT
Type II sedimentation is a flocculant particle precipitation, which
commonly used for initial precipitation on waste management. This research
aimed to study the effect of precipitation on BOD, COD, TSS removal and particle
form of POME to generate isoremoval graph to obtain the surface loading rate
(Vo) and time detention (td) for sedimentation tub design plan calculation. The
operation condition were varied to the depth of column settling within 25, 50, 75,
and 100 cm. And the extraction time of every port were 30, 45, 60 and 75 minutes.
The result shows that the best TSS removal based on the column precipitation
analysis is 68.81% within the column settling depth of 25 cm with precipitation
time of 75 minutes. The obtained surface loading rate is 1.13 m/h on 50%
precipitation with time detention of 106.75 minutes.
