Pengaruh Penambahan Aerasi Dan Resirkulasi Terhadap Penurunan Konsentrasi Bod Dan Cod Air Limbah Grey Water Dengan Media Bioball
ABSTRAK
Domestic Wastewater contributes significantly to water pollution in the
enviroment, because the application of threatment is not optimal. On this research
was done to proces domestic wastewater with aerobic biofilter system with bioball
as a medium. This research aimed at analyzing influence with aeration (reactor
1), with recirculation (reactor 2), with aeration and recirculation (reactor 3), and
without aeration and without recirculation (reactor 4) against the decline in
concentration of BOD and COD on wastewater. Reactor are prepared with each
reacroe containing bioball media. Conditioning and growth of microorganisms in
the reactor is carried out for 14 days and acclimatization for 3 days until the
biofilm is formed. The optimum removal of BOD and COD in the four reactor is
BOD 95,08%, 95,56%, 95,71%, 94,76% and COD 91,48%, 88,64%, 94,32%,
85,80%. The result showed that reactor 3 with aeration and recirculation system
more effective in decrease the concentration of pollutant in domestic wastewater.
