Pemodelan Dan Simulasi Unit Proses Gasifikasi Biomassa Menggunakan Aspen Hysys
ABSTRACT
Biomass Gasification converts biomass into gaseous fuels that can be used in
conventional equipment such as boilers, engines and turbines or advanced
equipment such as fuel cells for heat and electricity generation. Simulation of
biomass gasification can be carried out with several approaches, one of which is a
non-stoichiometric equilibrium model determined by minimizing Gibbs free
energy. In this study, the simulation process was carried out using Hysys. This is
because Hysys is a software process engineering to simulate a unit process or
multi-unit process that is integrated, intuitive, iterative, open and extensible. In the
calculation of Hysys operating conditions can run well without any disturbance to
the damage to the operating system (equipment) and ambient temperature (factory
area).program Hysys to access Gibbs free energy minimization algorithm. And,
the Gibbs free energy minimization program can be run using the reactor unit in
Hysys with the output data in the form ofcomposition syngas in the form of a
material stream with syngas composition in it and a graph of the effect of
temperature/ER on thecomposition syngas.
