Sintesis Dan Karakterisasi Komposit Hidroksiapatit-Kitosan Dan Uji Efektivitas Daya Serap Terhadap Methylene Blue Dan Methyl Orange
Composite is a material that is formed from two or more combination
materials with the result that it is resulted a composite material that has different
mechanical and characteristic properties from the forming material.
Hydroxyapatite is one that can be composited with chitosan as adsorbent dyes
methylene blue and methyl orange. The purpose of this research is to conduct
hydroxyapatite synthesis from lokan shells (geloina coaxans) using the method of
microwave with diammonium hydrogen phosphate (NH4)2HPO4 precursor and
Ca(OH)2 and for adsorption of hydroxyapatite/chitosan as adsorben towards
methylene blue and methyl orange. The results of synthesis
hydroxyapatite/chitosan was a characterized using X-ray Diffraction (XRD),
showing the highest peak 2θ= 25.9°, Frourier Transform-Infra Red Spectroscopy
(FTIR) shows the HAp/chitosan absorption band there was cluster OH-, PO4
3-,
Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM EDX), and absorption test using (UV-VIS)
shows for methylene blue HAp/control optimum time 5 minutes for HAp/chitosan
30% 40 minutes. Optimum concentration, HAp/control Optimum concentration
30 ppm and HAp/chitosan 10, 20 dan 30% 10 ppm, optimum mass HAp/control
of 5 gram and 10, 20 dan 30 % 20 gram, while for methyl orange HAp/control the
optimum time of is 10 minutes, HAp/chitosan 10% 40 minutes, 20% 50 minutes
dan 30% 20 minutes, optimum concentration of HAp/control 20 ppm,
HAp/chitosan 10% 30 ppm, 20% 20 ppm dan 30% 10 ppm, optimum mass of
HAp/chitosan is 5 gram. The results of BET (Brunaeur Emmet Teller)
measurements showed the best surface area for HAp-chitosan 30% 11.0369 (m2 /
g), pore volume on HAp-control 0.0065867 (cc/g) and pore diameter in HApchitosan
10% which is 6.7610 nm. Methylene blue follow Langmuir and pseudoorde
2, and methyl orange follow the second orde and isotherms Langmuir.
