ABSTRACT
This writing discusses how the application of shipping services that have
been implemented in Indonesia, one of which is the shipping guide service that
already exists and is applied in the Malacca Strait, where this service has
experienced many obstacles and we realize that foreign ships passing through the
Malacca Strait prefer to stop at the ports of Singapore and Malaysia instead of
Indonesia, this is certainly the main topic or the main topic that most of the
Malacca Strait is included in the territory of Indonesia.
This type of research is normative research, namely research using library
research in searching for data. This research is descriptive research, which is a
research method that describes the actual situation. The data analysis used by the
researcher is qualitative data analysis, namely the analysis that does not use
statistics or other things.
The results of this study can be used as three main things. First, according
to Imo, shipping services are hydrographic services, maritime assistance services,
ship evacuation services, and radio services. Then, there are several services that
have been offered by countries, namely taking from Singapore and Malaysia
including parking services, crane services, and transfer services between ships.
Second, the shipping services that have been offered by the Indonesian
government in the Malacca Strait are Cruise Guiding Services, Anchoring
Services, Mooring Services and Ship Towing Services. The three services that
Indonesia can then offer for the future include parking services, fuel supply
services, storage services and ship waste management.
