This study examines the phenomenon of code mixing and code switching carried out by teachers in the teaching and learning process at SMKN 1 Ukui. The researcher used a qualitative descriptive method to describe the forms of teacher speech that reflect the use of more than one language variety. Data were obtained through observation and recording of teacher interactions in classes XI TKRO A and XII TKJ A. The results show that internal code mixing, such as the use of regional languages in phrases or clauses, and external code mixing, namely the use of foreign languages such as English, often occur in classroom interactions. Similarly, code switching occurs between regional languages, Indonesian, and foreign languages. The contributing factors include adjustments to social identity, the presence of other participants. This study concludes that although code mixing and code switching can facilitate message delivery, it is important for teachers to continue to prioritize the use of good and correct Indonesian so that learning is directed and professional.
