This study aims to analyze the implementation of the STEAM (Science,
Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) learning model for children
aged 5–6 years at Educourse.id in Pekanbaru. The STEAM approach is
considered relevant for fostering critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and
problem-solving skills from an early age. This research employed a qualitative
approach using a case study method. Data were collected through observations,
interviews with teachers, and documentation of learning activities. The results
indicate that the implementation of the STEAM model at Educourse.id is carried
out through project-based thematic activities that integrate the five STEAM
components. Children were observed to be active, enthusiastic, and capable of
demonstrating critical thinking and creativity in each activity. However, several
challenges were identified, such as limited learning media and the need for
further teacher training. Overall, the implementation of the STEAM model at the
institution has shown positive outcomes in supporting the holistic development of
early childhood learners.
