SUMMARY
This study aims to analyze the influence of SME owners’ behavior and digitalized adaptation on the performance and productivity of frozen food SMEs in Pekanbaru City. SMEs were selected due to their strategic role in the national economy, yet they continue to face significant challenges in the digitalized process. The research adopts the Resource-Based View (RBV) and Knowledge- Based View (KBV) frameworks by integrating the variables of owner behavior, digitalized adaptation, performance, and productivity into a single research model. The study employs a quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS). Data were collected through a survey of frozen food SME owners in Pekanbaru, with a total sample of 273 respondents. The research instruments were tested for validity and reliability prior to inferential analysis. The findings reveal that SME owners’ behavior and digitalized adaptation have a significant effect on both performance and productivity. Furthermore, SME performance mediates the influence of owner behavior and digitalized adaptation on productivity improvement. These results emphasize that managerial skills, risk-taking capacity, and the ability to adapt to digitalized technologies are critical determinants of SME competitiveness. This research contributes theoretically by developing a comprehensive model that links owner behavior, digitalized adaptation, performance, and productivity. Practically, it highlights the importance of strengthening digitalized literacy, providing training support, and implementing managerial strategies for frozen food SME owners to enhance productivity and ensure business sustainability in the digitalized transformation era
