Isolasi Metabolit Sekunder Dan Uji Toksisitas Ekstrak Metanol Daun Tanaman Sentul Sandoricum koetjape (Burm. f.) Merr (Meliaceae)
SUMMARY
Sentul (Sandoricum koetjape (Burm. f.) Merr) is a plant belonging to Meliaceae family. The research aimed to isolate secondary metabolite compounds contained in the leaves and to determine the toxicity. The isolation technique was performed by maceration method using methanol and fractionated with hexane and ethyl acetate. The crude extract of methanol obtained was 20,43 g (0,7%). The result of recrystallization using n-hexane obtained white crystals (DSM) with melting point 110-112°C as much as 5 mg with yield 0.02% w/w. The result UV spectroscopy of DSM compounds showed 3 peaks at 222 nm, 284 nm and 322 nm with maximum absorption at 222 nm. While the FT-IR spectroscopy showed the presence of OH group characterized by a wide peak in the region of about 2948-3283 cm-1, peak at 2031 cm-1 showed the presence of C≡C, peak at 1713 cm-1 showed the presence of C=O and peak at 1598 cm-1 indicate the presence of C=C. The result of toxicity test from methanol extract showed LC50 = 4466,8 ppm. It indicates that the content contained in methanol extract is not toxic because the value of LC50 is less than 1000 ppm.
