Pengaruh Pemberian Ekstrak Buah Bakau Minyak (Rhizopora Apiculata) Terhadap Rasio Ldl/Hdl Tikus Putih (Rattus Novergicus) Galur Wistar Aterosklerotik
Mangrove fruit rhizopora apiculata is a type of mangrove plant that
contains antioxidant like tanin, flavonoid, saponin. Apart from being antioxidants
tanin, flavonoid, and saponin also have a role in improving lipid profile levels in
hyperlipidemic condition. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of
mangrove (Rhizopora apiculata) extracts on the LDL/HDL ratio of
atherosclerotic rats (Rattus novergicus). Sixteen male Rattus novergicus were
used in this study which was divided into 3 treatment groups: standard diet (K1),
high cholesterol diet (K2) and high cholesterol diet and mangrove fruit extract
(K3). The results showed that there was no significant difference between the
LDL/HDL ratio in the treatment group and the negative and positive control
groups (p>0.05). So it can be concluded that there is no significant difference in
the ratio LDL/HDL of atherosclerotic rats after giving mangrove extract.
